COVID-19 Highlights

Open for All Countries, Except Brazil

Seychelles are open for entry from almost all countries. However, visitors who have been to South Africa within the 14 days preceding arrival to Seychelles will unfortunately be restricted entry. Visitors from Brazil are not authorized entry into Seychelles.

Vaccination is Not Obligatory

However, due to latest outbreak information, visitors from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are not permitted to travel to and enter Seychelles without proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

No Quarantine, No Isolation

No quarantine is required for visitors entering Seychelles. They are allowed free movement throughout their entire holiday, but they must adhere to all public health measures.

Only Licensed Accommodation

Visitors must ensure that accommodation bookings are made only at licensed establishments or liveaboards that have been certified by the Public Health Authority.

HTA is Required

Online Health Travel Authorization (HTA) is required prior to boarding flights to Seychelles. Visitors must submit their application for approval at seychelles.govtas.com

Negative PCR Test Required

All visitors, including infants and children, regardless of vaccination status, must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate from an accredited laboratory. Samples for this test must have been taken within 72 hours before arrival and departure

When someone is suspected to have the virus, i.e. they meet enough of the criteria to be considered to possibly have the virus, they have samples taken for testing for COVID-19 and they are admitted at the Isolation Centre for follow up and management.
It is recommended to go to one of the COVID-19 screening stations if you are experiencing one or more symptoms of COVID-19. The health staff in the facilities will examine your symptoms and take the appropriate actions.
There are two isolation centres for treatment of patients who test positive for COVID-19. These are both located on Mahe. One is situated at Perseverance.
The surveillance team works tirelessly to identify contacts with risk of getting infected from COVID-19 after a positive case is detected. Interviews with surveillance team will identify whether you need monitoring or not. However, if you start developing symptoms, go to a COVID-19 screening station or call 141 to get assistance from the Rapid Response Team for further evaluation.
